Through temple steps, I was able to present my Rangapravesham this year in a traditional kutcheri style (an experience I will cherish forever). It's rare to find a dance school run in such thoughtful ways, and I'm grateful to find a place that contextualizes the history of Bharatanatyam, while also preserving the traditional ways it's been taught over the years.

One of the best decisions that I have taken was to join Templesteps when I wanted to restart learning bharathnatyam after 15 years. I was welcomed by a passionate guru, Smt.Utthara Unni who is willing to go over and beyond for her students. Under her guidance, it is a privilege to learn Bharathnatyam in the most traditional way. It is not just the dance that we learn, but a lot more... ranging from the basic knowledge to nuances like layam, taalam and abhinaya. The curriculum gets tailored based on each student's strengths and potential. Learning the art form online was a totally different learning experience all in a positive way.
